Retired teacher accorded farewell bid

BISWANATH CHARIALI, May 15: 
Manik Bora, retired teacher of Fateki LPS was accorded farewell bid by the school authority and general public in a public meeting held with Prem Pandey, president of SMC on Monday.
Keshar Pandey, a social worker inaugurated the meeting. Anjan Baskota, an emerging writer graced the occasion as an appointed speaker who had highlighted the role of government school teachers in upgrading quality education in schools and made a humble appeal to the parents to join hands towards enrichment of the educational environment. Ganesh Thapa, headmaster of Gosai Chapori MES released a handwritten magazine.
Addressing the gathering, outgoing teacher Manik Bora recalled the fond memories of bygone days. Retired teacher Bora was felicitated with a gamosa, xorai, japi, a packet of books. Many socio-cultural organisations and individuals also felicitated the outgoing teacher. The meeting was also addressed by Pranamika Das, CRCC, Kamal Sarma besides others. Mahesh Khatiwora, headmaster of the school conducted the proceedings.
