JORHAT: A police team from Pulibar Police Station here on Tuesday evening apprehended a person with a suspected rhino horn.
A police source stated that on the basis of specific information, police personnel stopped a man, identified as Kadir Ahmed of Sengeli of Titabar in Jorhat district, who was riding a motorcycle, at Mohbandha-Gotonga Tea Estate connecting road. Police found a suspected rhino in his possession.

The source said that Ahmed is suspected of bringing the animal body part to sell it to somebody. Investigation was on in the case and legal action would be initiated accordingly against him, the source added.
