Rongjali Bwisagu Bidai Pwrbw celebration in Kolkata concludes

KOKRAJHAR, May 16: The first ever Rongjali Bwisagu Bidai Pwrbw celebration (Bohagi Bidai Utsov) concluded on Sunday with a two-day programme scheduled at Bodoland House in Kolkata of West Bengal.

The Rongjali Bwisagu Pwrbw was organised by the department of Cultural Affairs of Government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) in association with Kolkata Bodo Association (KBA).

The Rongjali Bwisagu Pwrbw celebration created a festive enthusiasm that saw a cultural integration where participants apart from Bodoland region, Assam, West Bengal, neighbouring Bangladesh participated.

Various cultural troupes representing different communities including Bodo, Koch Rajbongshi, Rabha, Garo, Nepali, Assamese, Bengali, Santhali have participated and showcased their cultural demonstration from Bodoland region and West Bengal state.

Noted actors from Assam Jatin Bora, Tollywood actor Prasenjit Chatterjee participated in the cultural night of the event.

Noted Bodo singers; Sulekha Basumatary, Menoka Narzary, Rita Brahma, Gautam Brahma, Anaya Brahma, Gosai Daimary, Gwmwthao Basumatary sang their tracks in the Rongjali Bwisagu Pwrbw celebration.

BTR executive members Daobaisa Boro and Arup Kumar Dey said that the Rongjali Bwisagu Pwrbw celebration has concluded with a two-day colourful programme which was scheduled in Kolkata.

Members of Kolkata Bodo Association have expressed their gratitude and happiness as BTR government initiated the Rongjali Bwisagu Bidai Pwrbw celebration in Kolkata.
