SIVASAGAR, March 29: Rotary Club Sivasagar handed over 112 pairs of good quality gumboots and equal numbers of raincoats to the Safai workers (cleaners) of the Municipality Board in a meeting held in Sukapha Bhawan on Tuesday. Dr Anjana Sarmah, assistant district governor, Rotary District 3240; Manob Baruah, president, Sivasagar Rotary Club, and other office-bearers handed over the packets to the deputy commissioner Megha Nidhi Dahal IAS in the presence of the new ward commissioners of Sivasagar Municipality Board.
Additionally, Sivasagar Rotary Club also donated four sewing machines to the inmates of Jyoti Griha in Hatipaty, Geleki recently where about 50 mentally disabled and destitute women are sheltered. Manob Baruah while talking to media persons informed that Rotary Club would continue their welfare works among the people.
