‘Sankalpita Moha Pal Naam’ begins in Sivasagar

SIVASAGAR, Nov 1: The Krishna Surjya Naam Samaj has organized the ‘Sankalpita Moha Pal-Naam’
(devotional songs) on an unprecedented scale at the Sivasagar Boarding Field in Sivasagar.
The programme devotional songs that began in the evening on Tuesday witnessed a massive
participation of Bhakats ( Vaishnavite devotees) from all parts of the state. After the 100 dharmadwajja
uttulan in the morning, the organizers took out a cultural procession comprising of various ethnic and
religious groups.
The Pal Naam was formally inaugurated by Vaishnavite priest Pitambar Deva Goswami, Satradhikar Sri
Sri Auniati Satra. However, chief minister Himanta Biswa Sharma, who was sup[posed to be present in
the occasion can celled his visit. The Moha Pal Naam has created a spiritual ambiance in the town with
the participation of the Vaishnavite priests from different districts chanting prayers from the Bhagawat
and other creations of the two saintly gurus Sankardev and Madhobdev. The pal-naam will continue till
Thursday.

On Tuesday, namacharjya Gautom Goswami of BijayMahara Satra set the GURU-AASAN which was
followed by Kiratn path initiated by Nitul Neog. The dharmaluchana sabha of the aai matries was
inaugurated by Ditimoni Hatikakoty and Nirupoma Mahanta, president of Jila Sahitya Sabha, addressed
the gathering. It was also addressed by Arundhati Mahanta and Dilip Changmai.
