Sikkim Professional University hosts Sikkim State Students’ Meet

TEZPUR, May 1: The Sikkim State Students’ Meet of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has been organised at the Seminar Hall of Sikkim Professional University in Gangtok.

Attending the programme as chief guest Ashish Chauhan, national organising secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) urged various officials and workers (karykarta) of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) from Sikkim province for taking the programmes and policies of ABVP to the common people. Along with this, he threw light on various aspects of employment-oriented education and presented examples of many great men and called for learning from them. He also emphasized on research work.

“We should do every work with full efficiency and there should be full participation from the society,” he said.

During the meeting, discussions and brainstorming took place regarding various upcoming activities of ABVP and all the participants in the meeting expressed their views and informed about the upcoming plans. In the same programme, a meeting was organised in which various officials of ABVP, officials of various universities, teachers, professors and employees participated.

On this occasion, registrar of Sikkim Professional University, Ramesh Kumar Rawat delivered the the welcome address and frlicitated Ashish Chauhan by offering a Khada (Pataka) and memento.

Apangshu Sekhar Shill, regional organising secretary of ABVP, Prithvi Singh Rana, Sikkim state organising secretary of ABVP, Ganesh Neopaney, Sikkim state president of ABVP, Durgamani Dhakal, former president of Sikkim state of ABVP, Mahendra Singh Sevda, vice president, Sikkim state of ABVP, Rakesh Kumar, professor of CAU, Ranipool, Gangtok, Sikkim, Laxman Sharma, registrar of Sikkim University, Gangtok Jyoti prakash Tamang, Bhoj Kumar Acharya, Tamang, Pradeep Tripathi, Renu Pant were also felicitated on the occasion. Students from various universities, colleges and educational institutions of the state were also honoured during the event.
