SIVASAGAR, Jan 24: Addressing the Sivasagar Commerce College Youth Festival 2026 on Friday, Dr Mahadev Patgiri, Vice-Chancellor of Sibsagar University, said that man must strive to defeat AI in the unwarranted but inevitable contest in the new era. “People must be creative rather than artificial intelligence. The youth must move forward despite the challenges facing them,” he added.
The event was moderated by Dr Kauranga Bargohain, Professor, Department of Commerce, who addressed the students on the relevance of the knowledge economy in the 21st century. The programme was also attended by former Principal of Sivasagar Girls’ College Budhin Mishra, Principal of BLB College Dr Pankajjyoti Hazarika and journalists Muktab Hussain, Bhairav Munda and Naziullah Hazarika.
