SIVASAGAR, April 25: District Magistrate of Sivasagar, Aayush Garg, IAS, has been awarded the prestigious Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration, 2023, under the category “Holistic Development of Districts.” The award was presented during the 17th Civil Services Day celebration held recently at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, in the presence of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Garg was recognized for his impactful role in public administration during his tenure as District Magistrate of Barpeta, where he played a key role in the effective implementation of various government schemes and initiatives aimed at holistic district development.

In a felicitation ceremony held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Sivasagar, officers and executive magistrates led by Deputy Commissioner (Development) Samiran Bora honored Mr. and Mrs. Garg for the achievement.
