Social Worker Passes Away

BAKULIA, April 2: President of Langpher Gaonbur Association and social worker of Langfer Akon Hazarika passed away at Gauhati Medical College & Hospital on Sunday. Hazarika was admitted at GMCH on Thursday last due to complications from diabetes. He was about 60 years old.

Hazarika during his lifetime took up initiative for construction of the village road of Pub Hagalakata village. He also worked with various organisations like Assam Sahitya Sabha and Langpher Gaonbura Association,

The members of Axomiya Bhashik Sanstha; Srimanta Sankardeva Sangha; Bakaliaghat Anchalic Yuva Sangha and Sarbajanin Rongali Bihu, Bakaliaghat paid tribute to the late Hazarika. He left behind his wife, son and two daughters.
