GOLAGHAT, July 10: The Health Department of Golaghat has launched an intensive awareness campaign and health camp initiative across the district as part of a special drive against vector-borne diseases.
The campaign has been undertaken on the directives of the district administration to combat the spread of illnesses such as Japanese Encephalitis, dengue, and malaria.
The special campaign on Japanese Encephalitis commenced on Wednesday and will continue till July 14.
It is being carried out in every ward of Golaghat town, with a focus on educating residents about preventive measures and early detection of symptoms.
Health workers, in collaboration with ward commissioners, are conducting door-to-door campaigns to raise awareness about the transmission and prevention of carrier-borne diseases.
Citizens are being urged to seek immediate medical attention if they experience symptoms such as fever or body aches.
The initiative aims to reduce the incidence of vector-borne illnesses through community participation, timely treatment, and improved public health awareness.
