The main programme, presided over by Bhabananda Das, president of the Madhav Mandir Management Committee, began with a Borgeet by emerging vocalist Parismita Das. General Secretary Nira Bora delivered the welcome address, while Pankaj Baruah conducted the event.

Inaugurating the souvenir, MLA Prithiraj Rabha reflected on the reformist spirit of Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva and the inspiration Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha drew from his socio-cultural ideals. He emphasised that Namghars have long served as centres of religious, cultural and social unity, sustaining Assamese identity and harmony.

Former Education Minister Brindaban Goswami highlighted the Gita and Bhagavata as guides to righteous living, stressing their relevance to moral discipline and human conduct. Madhurjya Bora of Jorhat delivered a special lecture on Vaishnavite philosophy and Sankardeva’s teachings, cautioning that modern distractions risk distancing the younger generation from introspection and cultural values.

Adding a personal touch, actress Chetana Das, a native of New Amolapatty, shared cherished memories in an interactive session. The celebrations concluded with devotional performances, including Dihanaam by Bhagyashree Devi and a graceful Dashavatar Nritya by young dancer Abhismita Kashyap, marking a grand finale to the Golden Jubilee.
