Thirty members across political parties join INC in Haflong

HAFLONG, July 29: At least 30 members from various political parties including from ruling BJP, ASDC and TMC have joined Indian National Congress in a joining programme held at Haflong Rajib Bhawan on Saturday.

 

In the party meeting held on the occasion was attended by Dima District Congress Committee president Samarjit Haflongbar, vice president Obasting Pachuan, working president Kalijoy Sengyung, vice president Aripam Bodo, Mahila Congress president smt Himadrika Bathari and Dima Hasao District Youth Congress president Pandav Naiding. DCC general secretary Sunam Lama conducted the meeting.

According to DCC members, members of BJP and TMC from Dehangi Constituency led by TMC Dima Hasao District Committee members secretary Sadesh Jidung, and Seikhup Khelma (Borail Constituency) sr member of ASDC regional party based on popular Autonomous State Movement in two hills districts of the ertswhile North Cachar Hills now Dima Hasao and Karbi Anglong had joined the Congress. Further, BJP members from Haflong and Dehangi Constituency also joined the Indian National Congress in the programme.

 

Dima Hasao District Congress Committee members welcomed the newly joined members, willing to work together for the welfare of Dima Hasao district with political awareness, besides stand united to fight against the communal design in the district.
