Morigaon, Oct 28: A massive silent rally titled “I Am Zubeen’s Fan, We Are Also Zubeen’s Fans” was organised by the Morigaon unit of the BJP, demanding justice for late singer Zubeen Garg. The march, attended by over ten thousand fans and supporters, began at Basanaghat and made its way through the town before concluding at Morigaon Tarun Field.
The rally was led by Minister of Information and Public Relations and Water Resources Piyush Hazarika, Minister Bimal Bora, MLA Ramakanta Deuri, Morigaon BJP President Ramprasad Sarker, and General Secretary Nirmal Konwar. Supporters carried placards reading “I Am Zubeen’s Fan, We Are Also Zubeen’s Fans,” “Our Zubeen, Our Soul,” “In Songs and Hearts, Zubeen Lives,” “Justice Must Be Swift,” and “Trial in Fast-Track Court,” as they marched silently in remembrance of the beloved artist.
The peaceful demonstration symbolised the fans’ deep emotional bond with Zubeen Garg and their collective call for justice. Organisers said the rally was not only an expression of grief but also a plea to expedite the investigation and honour the musical legacy of the voice that continues to resonate across Assam.
