Jagiroad, Oct 28: Three people lost their lives and two others were severely injured after a speeding Creta car overturned on National Highway 27 near Silchang in Jagiroad, Assam, early on Tuesday morning.
The accident occurred when the vehicle reportedly hit a road divider at high speed before flipping over. The impact was so severe that three occupants — Dr Kantheswar Bordoloi, Ashfiq Hussain, and Manas Mahanta — died on the spot.

Dr Bordoloi, a gynaecologist at Morigaon Civil Hospital, was among the victims. The two injured passengers were rushed to Nagaon for emergency treatment and are reported to be in critical condition.
Police reached the spot soon after the crash and launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
