DIPHU, Sept 9: Chief executive member (CEM), Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Tuliram Ronghang on Friday inspected the ongoing building construction of the Karbi Anglong house in Shillong, Meghalaya. Members of Karbi Students Association (KSA), Meghalaya welcomed the CEM and submitted a memorandum to Ronghang. CEM Ronghang also directed the concerned contractor to complete the building within a short time.
Mention may be made that under the leadership of CEM Tuliram Ronghang several Karbi Houses in other states have come up including Kolkata, Delhi, Meghalaya and Bangalore.
Informing this reporter over telephone, KSA president, Shillong, Bingsong Teron said, “The building is yet to be completed, 80 percent of work has so far been completed. The building is likely to be inaugurated in October. We have also submitted a memorandum regarding the construction of the girls hostel in Shillong. The foundation stone will be laid shortly by the CEM.”
The CEM was accompanied by MP Horensing Bey, Executive Member, Lunsing Teron, Member of Autonomous Council, Avijit Kro and others.
