BISWANATH CHARIALI, Feb 7: Acting on a tip-off, a team of Arunachal Pradesh Police, headed by Padi Payeng, the officer in-charge of Sejusa Police Station, managed to apprehend a woman identified as Jumir Gengkak (22) from Niti Darlong Basti area located on the Assam-Arunachal border on Wednesday. They recovered a soap container full of drugs along with 35 empty containers. During police interrogation, Jumir revealed that one Afjal Hussain (23) from Khanamukh area under Chariduar Police Station had supplied her with the drugs. Like other days, Afjal Hussain had also visited Sejusa along with his motorcycle bearing registration number AS 12 Z 1327, along with drugs. The police team, who was waiting for Afjal, managed to trap him along with 12.37 grams of drugs, while the police had earlier recovered 15.42 grams of drugs from Jumir. The Sejusa Police have registered a case against the two apprehended individuals, and further investigation is ongoing. It is to be mentioned here that Jumir Gengkak is the wife of constable Hari Charan Bodo, who works in IRBN.
