NAGAON, Aug 10: Nagaon police have arrested two persons including a married woman for a controversial Facebook post where the arrested persons declared their plan to join the militant group ULFA (I) soon.
Naba Bora was arrested on Monday last from Nonoi area while Sipra Dutta Das, a married woman of Nagaon Kachalukhuwa area now staying with her husband at a government quarter in Guwahati, was arrested from the quarter in Guwahati early on Wednesday morning, a source said.
It is pertinent to mention here that a few days back, Sipra Dutta Das updated a Facebook post where she clearly mentioned her eagerness to join the militant group ULFA (I) soon.
She was brought to Nagaon PS after her arrest.
While speaking to some local media persons here at Nagaon PS campus, she however alleged that she was being threatened for long by one Tapan Das, a party activist of the ruling BJP and having no option to combat the situation, she finally expressed her feelings in that way. She however alleged that she was being harassed by the party activists for many years.
Meanwhile police produced Naba Bora before a local court on Tuesday and the court sent him to judicial custody, sources said.
