Unidentified man passes away

DIPHU, Jan 20: Shyam Rai (61) was brought and admitted at Diphu Medical College & Hospital (DMC&H) here on January 11 by RPF staff from Lumding. The patient was undergoing treatment at the DMC&H medicine ward and breathed his last in the morning hours of Friday.

Efforts have been made to trace out his relatives and address but to no avail. Accordingly, an inquest was done by the Executive Magistrate, Diphu and post-mortem on the dead body. The dead body will be preserved for a period of 72 hours for identification at DMC&H Morgue. This refers to Diphu PS UD Case No 03/2023. The law and order authority has made an appeal for enquiry in respective areas and to visit DMC&H for the identification and claims of the dead body.
