KOKRAJHAR, Sept 14: The United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) on Sunday released its 2025 Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) election manifesto, themed “Mother, Land, Community, Education, and Peace,” with a pledge to build a prosperous and harmonious Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
The manifesto, titled Vision to Action, along with the Election Assurance Card, was unveiled at the party’s Central Election Steering Committee office at Titaguri, Bhabanipur, in Kokrajhar.
Chief Executive Member (CEM) of BTR and UPPL President Pramod Boro released the documents in the presence of the party’s founder president and Assam cabinet minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma, Kokrajhar MP Joyanta Basumatary, UPPL Women’s Wing President Pratibha Brahma, and several other senior leaders.
Speaking at the event, UPPL leaders emphasised that the party’s vision for 2025 and beyond is rooted in inclusive growth, cultural preservation, quality education, women’s empowerment, and lasting peace in the region.
The manifesto outlines comprehensive plans for economic development, education reforms, skill development, women’s welfare schemes, infrastructure upgrades, environmental protection, and the full implementation of the 2020 Bodo Peace Accord by 2027.
The party assured that it would focus on creating a prosperous BTR with peaceful coexistence among all communities, aiming to transform the region into a model of harmony and progress.
CEM Pramod Boro stated that the UPPL is committed to working for the all-round development of society and is relentlessly dedicated to the upliftment and welfare of the people.
He said that the citizens of BTR have been experiencing peace and tranquility since the signing of the Bodo Accord. He added that the UPPL is poised to win a majority of the 40 seats in the BTC election.
