USTM signs pact with AIC Selco Foundation

GUWAHATI, Sept 16: The USTM and AIC Selco Foundation
under Atal Innovation Mission have signed an MoU to
collaborate towards creating an entrepreneurial ecosystem
with the prime focus of boosting technology
Entrepreneurship among students.
The MoU further emphasises on sharing of resources
especially mentoring faculties and support systems as per the
area of competencies available with both. The MoU signing
ceremony was done by Dr S Kalita CEO, AIC Selco Foundation,
and Anju Hazarika, registrar, USTM.
After the MoU signing ceremony, a workshop was conducted
by a team of mentors from AIC Selco Foundation and CIIE
(Centre for Innovation, Incubation, and Entrepreneurship)
USTM. Technical sessions concluded with an idea-pitching
session where six groups of students from USTM presented
their innovative ideas.
The MoU aims to establish a close linkage and functional
coordination between USTM and AlC Selco Foundation for
furthering the cause of entrepreneurship and support for

vernacular entrepreneurs/ innovators in the clean energy
sector.
According to the agreement, both institutions will jointly
partake and organise, seminars, workshops/events, etc for
expert resources and create a strong support model for
integration into the AlC-Selco Foundation Incubation
Programme. USTM will act as a knowledge partner for the
AlC-Selco Foundation by providing resource persons for
capacity building, mentoring, or consultation purposes. The
MoU further states that the institutions will jointly design the
Summer Internship Programme (SIP) for the students of
USTM.
