‘Vishwa Hindi Divas’ celebrated at Royal Global University

GUWAHATI, Jan 10: Royal Global University celebrated Vishva Hindi Divas’ with a well-attended ‘Kavi Sammellan’ session in the second half of the day.

The event was graced by renowned poet and motivational speaker Chandrashekhar Verma. The personalities who presented the audience with mesmerizing couplets, with maximum emphasis on the ‘Shringar Ras’ were senior journalist and poet Anil Vibhakar; poetess, social worker and translator Harkirat Heer; Pragya Maya Sharma; and poetess Sonrupa Vishal; besides poet, lyricist and engineer Ramayandhar Dwivedi.

Among the personalities who attended the event included Special DGP Assam, G.P. Singh, personnel from the BSF and CBI besides other senior dignitaries of the society.

Dr Ashok Pansari, Chancellor, Royal Global University; A.K. Modi, Pro Chancellor, Royal Global University; Prof. (Dr) S.P. Singh, and Vice Chancellor, Royal Global University were accompanied by other senior officials of the varsity, along with faculty members, staff, and students.

Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Singh, in his welcome address, highlighted the evolution of Hindi as a language in the global scenario. He also shed light on the vital role played by the language in binding various aspects of the society — academically and otherwise.

With creativity, and passion at an all-time high, the event was a grand success in acknowledging the importance of the language that proudly defines India and is an exclusive tool of identification for Indians locally and abroad.
