DIPHU, May 8: A 70-year-old woman who had expired while under treatment at Diphu Medical College & Hospital has been abandoned by her relatives. The woman identified as Rani Sardar was admitted on April 26 to the hospital but all efforts to contact her relatives and husband have failed. The police found no relatives of her at the given address of 9th Mile, Manja, Karbi Anglong.

The body is being kept at DMCH morgue for preservation for a period of 72 hours period.
