Workshop in Karbi Anglong highlights flagship govt programmes for youth

KHERONI, Aug 11: A one-day workshop on key flagship programmes of the Government of India was held at Adarsh Senior Secondary School, Kheroni Charali, West Karbi Anglong.

Organised by My Bharat: Mera Yuva Bharat, Diphu, Karbi Anglong, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in collaboration with the Subaltern Development Club (NGO), the programme aimed to raise awareness among youth about government initiatives driving national development.

Around 70 students, teachers and youth leaders participated.

Resource persons and guests, including lecturers Birendra Chauhan and Narayan Chetry, were felicitated with the traditional Assamese gamosa.

Sessions were held on various schemes, with Dr Surya Newar, HoD of Political Science, and Nayan Bharati, CEO of Deodhani Technologies Pvt. Ltd., speaking on the Skill India Mission; Dr Rajesh Chauhan, Assistant Professor, explaining the Jal Jeevan Mission; Bharat Sahu, Assistant Teacher at PGHT High School, elaborating on the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana; Chhotelal Chauhan, Assistant Professor at Kapili College, stressing the Swachh Bharat Mission; and Jeetendra Harijan, Vice Principal at Kapili College, discussing the Digital India Initiative.

The workshop concluded with an interactive session where students engaged with the speakers on grassroots implementation of the schemes.
