Workshop on Mission Basundhara 3.0 held in Jorhat

JORHAT, Nov 22: A day-long zonal workshop on Mission Basundhara 3.0 (My Land My Right) for Revenue Department officials, including additional district commissioners, additional district commissioners of co-districts, revenue circle officers, land records assistants, and land records supervisors from seven districts, was held at the auditorium of the Chou Lung Siu-Ka-Pha Samanway Kshetra at Mohbandha here on Thursday.

A district administration official informed that the participants were from Jorhat, Golaghat, Majuli, Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Sivasagar, and Charaideo districts. District commissioners from four districts also attended the programme.

The workshop, organised with the objective of ensuring the state government’s initiative to provide land rights to indigenous people achieves its purpose completely, began with a welcome address delivered by the Jorhat district commissioner, Jay Shivani.

The director of Land Records and Surveys, Dr Om Prakash, gave an overview of Mission Basundhara 3.0 in his presentation. Nazrul Islam, a retired IAS officer, served as the mentor and guide for the event, which featured several PowerPoint presentations on various aspects of the mission, a massive undertaking by the Revenue Department officials. An interactive session was also held after the presentations.
