GUWAHATI, Feb 25: Axis Bank has collaborated with Adda Education to launch a structured Hire-Train-Deploy (HTD) programme aimed at building a specialised cadre of Relationship Managers (RMs) for its Commercial Banking Group (CBG).
The initiative is focused on strengthening the Bank’s rapidly expanding Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) franchise, identified as a key strategic priority area. The programme seeks to equip newly hired RMs with role-ready capabilities tailored to the specific and evolving needs of SME clients.
Launched at a time when the Union Budget 2026 has placed strong emphasis on skilling and service-sector employment, the HTD model is designed to bridge the gap between recruitment and operational readiness.
Through structured, application-led training, the programme ensures that RMs are deployment-ready and effective from day one.
Key features of the programme include a co-curated, role-specific curriculum aligned to Commercial Banking RM requirements, practice-led learning through real-life simulations and customer engagement scenarios, structured exposure to products, processes and regulatory frameworks, and deployment-ready training aligned with Axis Bank’s Commercial Banking roles.
Rajkamal Vempati, Group Executive and Head of Human Resources at Axis Bank, said the services sector is playing an increasingly pivotal role in India’s growth, particularly in high-priority segments such as SMEs.
He stated that the Hire-Train-Deploy programme would help scale a high-quality, deployment-ready talent pipeline aligned with the evolving needs of the Bank’s Commercial Banking business while enabling meaningful career growth.
Bimaljeet Bhasin, CEO, Skilling & Higher Education at Adda Education, said the CBG Relationship Manager Programme reflects Axis Bank’s trust in Career 24×7 to build a strong talent pipeline for complex, customer-facing roles.
He noted that the collaboration marks an expansion of the partnership into Commercial Banking, with a focus on preparing Relationship Managers for real-world business challenges.
With the launch of this programme, Axis Bank aims to strengthen its SME banking capabilities while contributing to the broader national skilling agenda by developing a future-ready workforce for the financial services sector.
