GUWAHATI, Feb 7: Riders of Jawa, Yezdi and BSA motorcycles rode out across India on January 26, 2026, celebrating Republic Day with a shared belief that motorcycling, much like the nation itself, draws strength from unity in diversity.
Marking the occasion, Classic Legends announced the launch of its community page titled ‘Nomads: Ride as One, Ride the Legacy’ on its official website.
The newly launched page is designed to bring riders closer to their local Jawa-Yezdi-BSA riding communities, enabling easy discovery and connection with both independent rider clubs and dealership-led groups through a single digital platform.
The Republic Day rides, themed Nomads for Unity in Diversity, spanned the length and breadth of the country, from Jammu to Tamil Nadu and Gujarat to Manipur, reflecting India’s vast geography united by a common passion for performance classics from Jawa, Yezdi and BSA.
More than 2,000 riders participated in the nationwide rides, representing over 20 independent riding communities and more than 150 dealership-led riding groups, cutting across age groups, professions and riding styles.
Seasoned riders rode alongside first-time tourers, with legacy machines sharing the road with modern-day performance classics, symbolising continuity across generations.
These independent and dealership-led riding groups will now be further unified under Classic Legends’ riding collective, ‘Nomads’, which consolidates all brand riding communities on a common platform.
Spanning Jawa, Yezdi and BSA riding communities, Nomads has been positioned as a shared identity that transcends brands, regions and motorcycle choices.
Built by riders rather than campaigns, the collective reflects inclusiveness, independence and the joy of riding with one’s tribe.
The Republic Day launch was seen as a fitting moment to introduce the platform nationally, making it easier for riders to find nearby clubs and ride together more frequently.
Speaking on the initiative, Anupam Thareja, co-founder of Classic Legends, said that while motorcycling is driven by the pursuit of freedom, it is also deeply rooted in the human need to belong.
He said Republic Day rides have always brought together diverse riders as a close-knit tribe, and the launch of Nomads takes that spirit forward by enabling riders, both new and experienced, to discover and connect with riding communities near them.
Throughout the day, rider stories from across the country were shared in real time on Jawa, Yezdi and BSA Motorcycle social media platforms, celebrating the spirit of riding together as Nomads.
Republic Day rides remain an annual tradition for the Jawa, Yezdi and BSA riding communities.
This year’s celebrations marked a larger and more unified Nomads presence, deeper collaboration with independent rider groups, and the launch of a platform aimed at sustaining community engagement well beyond the annual rides.
