GUWAHATI, May 18: The FINER Women Wing successfully organised a seminar on Entrepreneurship Development in Northeast India on Thursday, at the NEDFI Convention Centre in Guwahati. The first programme of the FINER women cell under the chairmanship of Smt Ranjana Bhajankaaimed to provide valuable insights and resources for aspiring entrepreneurs, especially women in the NE Region
The inaugural session of the seminar was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Honourable Member of Parliament Queen Oja, who graced the event as the Chief Guest. Also present in the inaugural session were PVSLN Murty, CMD of NEDFI as Guest of Honour PK Nath, DGM of SIDBI as Special Guest. President, FINER, Bajrang Lohia was present in the event and welcomed the dignitaries present. Ojha in her speech spoke about the empowerment of women in the state and how government can help with the same with different schemes.
During the technical session, industry experts shared their knowledge and expertise through informative presentations. Dr Mamata Binani, CS, Adv was a special guest of the technical session spoke about various financial schemes available specially for MSMEs special focus on women entrepreneurs. CA Binit Todi, Director of FINER, delivered a detailed presentation on “How to Start Business (Incentive & Compliance).” Veekash Agarwal, DGM of NEDFI, presented on the various financial schemes offered by NEDFI. Sanjay T Gode, Manager of SIDBI, shed light on the schemes provided by SIDBI. Mainak Bandyopadhyay, DGM of NSIC, shared insights on the schemes of NSIC, while Bhargav Ranadeep, CEO, emphasized the importance of digital marketing and branding in his presentation.
The seminar provided a platform for entrepreneurs to gain valuable knowledge and information on starting and growing their businesses. It served as a catalyst for fostering entrepreneurship in Northeast India and promoting economic development in the region.
