IRB Infrastructure Developers report 32% increase in toll collection in Dec 2022

GUWAHATI, Jan 11: IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd. and its Private InvIT Arm, IRB Infrastructure Trust, both have collectively reported a 32% increase in the toll collection in December 2022 on year-on-year basis, across all projects under them. The company has reported toll collection in December 2022 at Rs 388 crore as against Rs 294 crore in December 2021. The toll collection has also gone up on a month-to-month basis as against November 2022, where it was reported at Rs 366 crores.

Commenting on this, Virendra D Mhaiskar, chairman and managing director of IRB Infrastructure Developers Limited said, “The consistent increase in the toll collection on all our projects reflects not only that the economy is on a growth trajectory, but also these corridors are playing a vital role in this growth.”

As the largest integrated private toll roads and highways infrastructure developer in India, IRB has an asset base of over Rs 60000 crore in 10 states across the parent company and two InvITs. The company has a strong track record of constructing, tolling, operating, and maintaining around 15500 lanes of km pan India and can construct over 500 km in a year. It has approx. 20% share in India’s prestigious Golden Quadrilateral project, which is the largest by any private infrastructure developer in India.
