GUWAHATI, Jun 07: Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has unleashed excitement among thrill-seekers and adventure enthusiasts with the highly anticipated launch of the Jimny off-roader. Priced at a starting point of INR 12,74,000, this exceptional SUV is now available for delivery across all NEXA showrooms in India.

The 5-door Jimny will be offered in Zeta and Alpha variants, with both automatic and manual transmission choices, targeting passionate SUV enthusiasts, whether they are professionals or adventure seekers. Embodying NEXA’s design philosophy of ‘Crafted Futurism’, the Jimny adds a new dimension to NEXA’s SUV portfolio, showcasing a distinctive design character. It also embodies the three key pillars of NEXpression, NEXtech, and NEXperience.

During the announcement of the Jimny’s prices, Hisashi Takeuchi, the Managing Director & CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, expressed his privilege in introducing the legendary Jimny to the Indian market. Renowned for its timeless design and exceptional off-road capabilities powered by Suzuki’s ALLGRIP PRO (4WD) technology, the Jimny has been challenging stereotypes since its global debut in 1970. The introduction of the Jimny (5-door) marks a thrilling milestone in Maruti Suzuki’s SUV portfolio and plays a crucial role in their ambition to become the country’s largest SUV manufacturer. The Jimny has garnered positive feedback from both prospective customers and critics.

India holds significant importance for Suzuki Motor Corporation, serving not only as a domestic market but also as a global export base. It brings immense pleasure to announce that India will serve as the mother plant for the Jimny (5-door) and be the first market for its launch. This reaffirms Suzuki’s commitment to the ‘Make-In-India’ initiative for the world, showcasing their dedication to manufacturing excellence and quality production.
