GUWAHATI, Aug 5: Zetta Farms has announced a groundbreaking expansion into the tea industry with its sprawling 1000-acre tea estate nestled in the serene landscapes of Assam. The visionary project marks Zetta Farms’ foray into tea production, offering an exquisite range of teas with prices ranging from Rs 600 to Rs 5 lakhs per kg.
Situated in the fertile soils and optimal climate of Assam, renowned for its tea-rich heritage, the new tea estate is a strategic move by Zetta Farms to create a sustainable tea production model. Despite being one of the most organized sectors in the economy and the second most consumed beverage in India after water, the tea industry has faced challenges with low income for farm workers. Zetta Farms aims to change this scenario by leveraging their expertise to improve farm yield and empower workers, enhancing their livelihood and standard of living.
Founder Rituraj Sharma stated, “Amidst Assam’s tea-rich heritage and promising growth in the tea industry, Zetta Farms’ 1000-acre tea estate stands as a remarkable venture. Our goal is to introduce teas of unparalleled quality that embody the essence of Assam’s rich flavor and culture, while fostering sustainable practices that benefit both nature and local communities.”
