GUWAHATI, Oct 28: MakeMyTrip, India’s leading online travel company, has launched ‘Travel Ka Muhurat’, a new initiative aimed at marking the beginning of the country’s year-end travel planning season.
The campaign covers the entire travel spectrum — including flights, hotel stays, holiday packages, ground transport, tours, and travel essentials such as visas, forex, and insurance.
It brings together leading airlines, hospitality brands in India and abroad, and major banking partners to offer travellers value-driven deals.
The inaugural edition of Travel Ka Muhurat will run from October 29 to November 30, 2025. MMTBLACK members will enjoy early access to offers, alongside weekly Black Friday Deals and limited-period “Lightning Drops” available daily between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
Each week will highlight curated domestic and international destinations, featuring beach, hill, cultural, and city getaways.

According to the company, the timing of the initiative aligns with insights on when Indians typically plan their trips. Data from MakeMyTrip shows that around 30% of domestic travellers finalise their year-end bookings by November, while international travel plans often see a spike as early as October, as customers anticipate rising fares and limited availability.
The company said this evolving travel-planning mindset has created space for a dedicated travel planning season.
Travel Ka Muhurat seeks to define this period as India’s annual moment for travel preparation, encouraging customers to act on their vacation plans through curated offers and destination inspiration.
