GUWAHATI, Dec 7: SBI General inaugurated its 6th “Crop Insurance Week” awareness campaign, focusing on the upcoming Rabi season of 2023-24. The week-long initiative aims to underscore the importance of crop insurance, educating farmers on the features of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) and empowering them to safeguard their agricultural investments.
As part of this campaign, the company will undertake a series of activities across states including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Assam, and Karnataka, where it has been allocated responsibilities under the PMFBY. The comprehensive range of farmer awareness activities includes a Van Campaign for direct dissemination of PMFBY information in rural areas, Farmers’ workshops (Fasal Bima Pathshala), Bike rallies, Outdoor advertisements, Bus branding activities, educational workshops in schools and colleges, and exclusive sessions for women farmers.
