Located at CGTA Nagar, the new facility covers about three lakh square feet on 10.5 acres of land and is designed to function as a major logistics hub for Eastern and Northeastern India while also facilitating cross-border trade with Bhutan, Bangladesh and Southeast Asia.

The warehouse is equipped to cater to a diverse set of industries including automotive, e-commerce, FMCG, retail, textiles and cold-chain solutions.

Manoj Kumar Tripathi, CEO of TCI Supply Chain Solutions, said the opening of the facility underlines the growing economic activity in the region, supported by positive policies of the state governments and enhanced connectivity with the Northeast through strategic infrastructure investments by the Government of India.

“This state-of-the-art facility will have modern features that prioritise sustainability and will help serve a diverse range of industries, supporting their operations across Eastern and Northeastern India as well as the country’s neighbourhood. It has a futuristic design and is one of the most eco-conscious facilities of its kind, thus also making it an optimum choice for the industry to make their supply chains relatively greener,” he said.

Tripathi further recalled TCI’s long association with the city, noting that the company was established in Kolkata in 1958 by its founder, Prabhu Dayal Agarwal, and has since grown into one of India’s largest multimodal logistics players.

The newly launched warehouse has been built with a strong focus on sustainability and efficiency.

It features fly ash brick construction, rainwater harvesting, natural lighting, low-VOC paints and other eco-conscious measures.

It also incorporates ultra-flat laser screed flooring, robotics-compatible infrastructure and energy-efficient designs to ensure high-volume handling and future-ready operations.
