Teaching-learning resource book for the school teachers

GUWAHATI, June 19: Bharti Airtel Foundation, in collaboration with state education mission authority of Meghalaya (Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan), recently launched ‘Teacher Learning Resource Book’.

The book was officially unveiled by Swapnil Tembe, IAS, state project director of Samagra Shiksha and director of school education & literacy in Meghalaya, and Mamta Saikia, chief executive officer of Bharti Airtel Foundation. This resource book comprises of creative and effective teaching aids on different themes, designed by teachers from partner government schools as part of Bharti Airtel Foundation’s Quality Support Program (QSP).

The book, designed by the teachers and for the teachers, aims to enhance children’s academic understanding and skill development. The Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs), stemming from daily classroom experiences, offer simple and innovative solutions to facilitate enjoyable and effective learning for the students. At the ceremony, Swapnil Tembe (state project director Samagra Shiksha and director of school education & literacy, Meghalaya), honored the teachers who won Educational Rockstar Achievers’Awards for their successful contribution towards designing effective and engaging teaching aid. He also felicitated four students from QSP partner schools who brought laurels to the State of Meghalaya by winning National Level Competitionsin (YUVIKA- Young Scientist Programme by ISRO and TickLinks- – Young Explorer Contest).

Other dignitaries present at the ceremony were  L Lyngdoh (Jt director of school education & literacy, Meghalaya) among others.
