GUWAHATI, April 9: Yummy Noodles celebrated the success of its inaugural Yummy Talent Fest with a grand finale held on April 5 at the U Soso Tham Auditorium in Shillong.
The event, which aimed to spotlight the local talent of Meghalaya, concluded with an impressive display of creativity and artistry. With a total prize pool of Rs 2 lakh, the fest sought to recognize emerging artists and performers from across the region.
The competition attracted over 600 attendees and featured 20 finalists selected from a pool of 142 participants who registered for the event.
These finalists showcased their talents in front of a live audience, with performances ranging from music and dance to visual arts.
In the months leading up to the finale, participants gained national recognition through social media features, allowing them to connect with a wider audience and celebrate their unique skills.
Rithika Baruah, chief marketing officer of Yummy Noodles, expressed pride in the event’s success. “Our goal was to create a platform where Meghalaya’s hidden talents could be discovered and celebrated. The community’s response has been phenomenal, and we are thrilled to have played a role in showcasing the incredible creativity and artistry within the region,” she said.
The festival was divided into two categories: Entertainment and Creativity.
In the Entertainment category, which included performers like singers, rappers, and dancers, Ariana Syiem took first place with Mewan Aikupar Ryntathiang and Daphilakhamti Mary Pyngrope securing second and third place, respectively.
In the Creativity category, Garry & Rimeca, known for their cosplay creations, clinched the top prize, followed by sketch artist Pynkitbor Kharbani and crochet artist Cuty Kharbuki.
The finale featured live performances, a Creative Zone where visual artists created their work in real time, and an interactive “Yummy 60-Second Noodle Battle” with a prize of Rs 10,000.
The event also included open mic sessions, offering audience members the opportunity to showcase their own talents and win spot prizes.
All registered performers received certificates and exclusive Yummy merchandise as a token of appreciation for their participation.
The success of the Yummy Talent Fest marks a significant milestone for Yummy Noodles, which has a long history in Meghalaya.
The brand, which prides itself on being “Made in India, Made for India,” continues its commitment to empowering local communities through creativity.
Looking forward, Yummy Noodles plans to expand the Yummy Talent Fest to other cities and states, aiming to create a national movement that blends culture, community, and creativity under one stage.
