Assam CM invites President Murmu to 50th Karbi Youth festival

New Delhi, Dec 14: Assam Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, met President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi on Thursday.

He felicitated the President with a traditional Assamese scarf, known as gamosa, and presented her with a souvenir. During their meeting, they discussed issues related to public welfare and development.

The President’s office shared a photograph of the meeting on platform X. The Chief Minister later shared his experience of the meeting on the same platform, expressing his honour in meeting the President and appreciating her humility and compassion.

He also invited President Murmu to attend the 50th Karbi Youth Festival, a celebration of Assam’s indigenous culture, scheduled for January 2024.
