NFR extends periodicity of three pairs of special trains

GUWAHATI, Sept 5: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has extended the services of three pairs of festival special trains to meet the additional rush of passengers during the upcoming festive season.

According to an official statement, each of these trains will operate for 13 additional trips in both directions with their existing days of service, timings, composition, and stoppages.

The move is expected to benefit passengers on waiting lists of other trains on the same routes.

As per the extension, Train No 09189 (Mumbai Central–Katihar) Special will run from October 4 to December 27, 2025.

In the return direction, Train No. 09190 (Katihar–Mumbai Central) Special will operate from October 7 to December 30, 2025.

Train No 05638 (Silchar–Naharlagun) Special will run from October 6 to December 29, 2025, while Train No. 05637 (Naharlagun–Silchar) will operate from October 7 to December 30, 2025.

Similarly, Train No 05628 (Agartala–Guwahati) Special has been extended to run from October 2 to December 25, 2025.

In the return direction, Train No 05627 (Guwahati–Agartala) Special will operate from October 3 to December 26, 2025.
