MALIGAON, Sept 7: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to operate three pairs of puja special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers during the forthcoming Puja season.
The puja special trains will run between Katihar – Amritsar – Katihar, Rangapara North – Prayagraj Jn.– Rangapara North and Narangi – Gorakhpur – Narangi.
Festive Special train no. 05736 (Katihar – Amritsar) will run for eleven trips leaving from Katihar at 21:00 hours on all Wednesdays from September 18 to 27 November, 2024 to reach Amritsar at 09:45 hours on Friday.
In return direction, Festive Special train no. 05735 (Amritsar – Katihar) will run for eleven trips leaving from Amritsar at 13:25 hours on all Fridays from September 20 to November 29 , 2024 to reach Katihar at 23:45 hours on the next day. The train will run via Arariya Court, Forbesganj, Darbhanga Jn, Gorakhpur Jn., Gonda Jn., Bareily, Roorkee and Jalandhar City stations during its both way journey.
Festive Special train no. 05831 (Rangapara North – Prayagraj Jn.) will run for ten trips leaving from Rangapara North at 09:00 hours on all Sundays from September 29 to December 1, 2024 to reach Prayagraj Jn. at 12:40 hours on the next day.
In return direction, Festive Special train no. 05832 (Prayagraj Jn – Rangapara North) will run for ten trips leaving from Prayagraj Jn. at 17:40 hours on all Mondays from September 30 to December 2, 2024 to reach Rangapara North at 22:50 hours on the next day. The train will run via Rangiya Jn , New Bongaigaon, Fakiragram, New Jalpaiguri, Aluabari Road, Naugachia, Khagaria Jn , Hajipur Jn, Patliputra and Buxar stations during its both way journey.
Another Festive Special train no. 05633 (Narangi – Gorakhpur) will run for four trips leaving from Narangi at 13:20 hours on all Thursdays from October 3 to 24, 2024 to reach Gorakhpur at 13:00 hours on the next day. In return direction, Festive Special train no. 05634 (Gorakhpur – Narangi) will run for four trips leaving from Gorakhpur at 20:55 hours on all Fridays from October 04 to 25, 2024 to reach Narangi at 23:10 hours on the next day. The train will run via Rangiya Jn, Kokrajhar, New Coochbehar, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Katihar, Khagaria Jn, Barauni Jn, Sonpur, Chhapra and Siwan Jn stations.
