15 Injured as vehicle overturns in Tripura

AGARTALA, Dec 27: Fifteen people, including a minor, were injured when a passenger vehicle overturned in the Dahrampara area of Dashda under Kanchanpur sub-division in Tripura’s North District on Friday morning.

Sources revealed that the incident occurred around 10 AM when the vehicle, traveling from Komfui Village, lost control and turned turtle.

The injured have been identified as Beka Tripura (30), Khabari Tripura (45), Dhanantari Tripura (30), Dibaranya Tripura (45), Ravi Kumar Tripura (68), Balika Tripura (26), Kasbalangti Tripura (14), Siraman Tripura (13), Ratanmala Tripura (50), Sumit Reang (driver, 62), and Gunu Sen Tripura (62), along with four others whose identities are yet to be confirmed.

The injured were initially taken to the Dashda Primary Health Center for first aid. However, 12 individuals with serious injuries were referred to the Kanchanpur Sub-divisional Hospital, while one critically injured passenger was shifted to the Dharmanagar District Hospital for advanced treatment.

As of now, 11 victims are receiving medical care at Kanchanpur Hospital. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
