The confrontation, which took place on November 15, led to the unfortunate demise of two Myanmar soldiers, while three others suffered minor injuries due to the CNDF forces.

After rigorous discussions between the leaders of the CNDF and the Myanmar Military, a consensus was achieved, leading to the surrender of the Myanmar soldiers.

The surrender of 29 troops from Myanmar, initially scheduled for November 15 in Saikhumphai, Mizoram, was delayed due to navigational issues.

They finally reached Saikhumphai at 2:15 p.m. on November 16, where they surrendered their arms in accordance with the agreement. The surrendered items included guns, ammunition, and bombs, which were handed over to the Mizoram Police.
