A senior official from the Tripura Government, speaking on the condition of anonymity, revealed that the plenary session was initially planned for August 31 and September 1. However, it was postponed due to flooding in the region.

“The rescheduled meeting will now take place on December 20 and 21 in Tripura. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia will both be in attendance,” the official confirmed.

Amit Shah is expected to arrive in Agartala on the evening of December 19. He is likely to hold discussions with BJP party members that same evening. On December 20, he will participate in the NEC plenary session before departing from the state later that day.

The official also stated that chief ministers and chief secretaries from all seven northeastern states will be present for the event.
