GUWAHATI, Dec 27: The Tirap district in Arunachal Pradesh has been accorded the ‘Har Ghar Jal’ (piped water connection in every home’ under the central scheme ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’.
The Jal Jeevan Mission envisages providing adequate potable drinking water through individual household tap connections to all households in rural areas of the country by 2024.
Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu congratulated the Tirap district administrating for achieving the feat of providing piped water connections in every rural household in the district.
“By getting #Har Ghar Jal By getting #HarGharJal certified status, District Administration of Tirap in Khonsa Division has proved that where there is a will, there is a way,” Pema Khandu said on a post in X.
“Ensuring clean water for every home is a remarkable achievement, reflecting Team Arunachal’s collective commitment to the well-being of every citizen,” he further said in the post.
