DIMAPUR, March 7: The government of India and the NSCN/GPRN (Khango) on Thursday extended the ceasefire agreement for another year with effect from April 18, 2024, to April 17, 2025.
The ministry of information and publicity of the outfit, in a release, said in the spirit of seriousness to maintain peace in the state and modalities of resolving issues and for lasting peace in the land of the Nagas with the involvement of the Naga people, the ceasefire agreement between the NSCN/ GPRN (Khango)Â and the government of India has been mutually extended for one year with effect from April 18, 2024, till April 17, 2025, subject to adherence to the ceasefire ground rules.
On behalf of the NSCN/GPRN (Khango), its ceasefire supervisory board supervisor A Imyapangba Ao and secretary Mhoyamo Kithan signed the ceasefire extension agreement, the release added.
