Identified as Nur Jalal alias Saddam, her lover is a traditional healer. The arrest followed Fatema’s escape from Bangladesh, breaking her marital bonds, fuelled by her intense love for Nur.

Police suspect that Fatema, already married, took a bold step by eloping with Nur Jalal alias Saddam, a man infamous for his questionable reputation from North Phulbari in Tripura.

“Saddam, accused of being a sham traditional healer, managed to win Fatema’s heart during their time in Bangladesh. Later, she somehow crossed the border and entered Tripura”, a police officer confirmed. It’s believed that Churaibari police held Fatema due to her lack of valid documents, including a passport, required for her travel to India.
