TEZPUR, July 2: The Indian Army has announced the commencement of phase II of the Agniveer recruitment process which has begun from June in several parts of India. This phase marks a significant milestone in the Indian Army’s efforts to transform its recruitment procedures and ensure a seamless and efficient selection process for aspiring candidates.
As part of the new recruitment system, the first phase involved an online common entrance exam that was conducted nationwide in April 2023. The results of the shortlisted candidates have been uploaded on the official website of the Indian Army, www.joinindanarmy.nic.in. Admit cards have been issued to these candidates for the upcoming rallies.
The upcoming rally for northern, eastern, western and central districts of Assam will be held at the Missamari Military Cantonment, starting from July 18. For Dhubri, South Salmara Mankachar, Bongaigaon, Barpeta, Baksa, Chirang, Darrang, Kamrup (R) Kamrup Metro, Kokrajhar, Nalbari, Tamulpur and Udalguri, districts, rally will be held from July 18 to 25. For Nagaon, Morigaon, Biswanath, Sonitpur districts rally will be held from July 26 to 29. Similarly for the districts of Golaghat, Majuli, Lakhimpur, Dibrugarh, Tinsukhia, Charadeo, Sivsagar, Jorhat & Dhemaji physcal rally will be held in August. To plan and organise this rally effectively, a coordination conference was recently conducted on July 1, with the participation of key stakeholders from the civil administration.
The conference was chaired by DC Sonitpur, Deba Kumar Mishra, and attended by director recruiting (Indian Army) Col Ashok, Col Narendra Ola, Col Akshay Sati, and representatives from various concerned departments. The meeting focused on discussing all aspects related to the conduct of the rally, including candidate marshaling, transportation, rally site preparation, medical facilities, traffic management, and other necessary arrangements.
DC Sonitpur has graciously assured full cooperation and assistance from the civil administration to ensure the grand success of the rally, which will greatly benefit the youth of Assam. Additionally, the DC has directed all relevant departments to visit the rally site and ensure that all necessary requirements are met.
