DIBRUGARH, April 16: With only a couple of days left for the first phase of elections to be take place across the country, reports have come in that the NSCN (K-YA) has directly got involved in the electioneering process by threatening voters to vote for a particular candidate in Longding Pumao constituency in the insurgency infested Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh.
Leaflets in this regard are being distributed in the villages of the constituency.
Moreover, for the last few days, heavily armed militants from the NSCN (K-YA) have been moving in villages like Niuasa, Longkhaw, Mintong, Longphong etc and have been threatening people at gun point to vote for NPP’s Thangwang Wangham.
Sources said that the BJP leaders and workers have been targeted by the militants during which they are being threatened to vote for the NPP candidate or to face serious action.
