James Sangma inaugurates school building

DADENGGRE, May 10: Meghalaya minister for Food & Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Forests and Environment, etc. James PK Sangma, inaugurated the newly constructed ADB funded Dilsigre Secondary School, under Dadenggre Civil Sub-Division, in the presence of SDO (Civil), Vibhor Aggarwal, District School Education Officer (DSEO), R Tenang K Sangma, the government officials and other dignitaries on Tuesday.

Inaugurating the school building, James informed that ADB had sanctioned 100 million dollars for construction of school buildings in the state and the village like Dilsigre is very fortunate to get a state-of-the-art school building which will be of immense help not only to the students but to the parents as well and urged all the stakeholders to shoulder responsibility towards achieving the goals of the ADB funded school. He also said that this school will be the foundation to mould the future of the students of the region and informed that the focus and priority of the government of Meghalaya is imparting quality education. He also urged the students of the school to utilise the facilities being made available to them.

The SDO (C), Vibhor Aggarwal, while speaking on the occasion, said that the school building is equipped with various facilities to impart quality education to the students.

On the day, Gregory Ch Marak, who was awarded the best state exhibit recently received the certificate and a cash award from the chief guest of the day.

On the day, the DSEO presided over the function and president of Dilsigre Secondary School, Pinison Sangma, delivered the welcome address while the headmaster of Dilsigre RMSA School, Manoj Shah proposed the vote of thanks.
