Nagaland’s first medical college to Begin Its First Batch of MBBS Classes

GUWAHATI, Aug 21: Nagaland Institute of Medical Sciences &
Research (NIMSR) Kohima, state’s first medical college will
begin its first batch of MBBS classes in the 1st week of
September. According to an AIR report, this was informed by
Director cum Dean of Nagaland Institute of Medical Sciences &
Research (NIMSR) Kohima, Prof. Dr. Soumya Chakraborty. She
said, the date for announcement of classes will be done by
National Medical Commission. Dr. Chakraborty said, the NIMSR
was successful in getting 85 seats filled by candidates from the
State of Nagaland while, 15 seats from All India Quota.
According to the report, the Dean also informed that the
admission for the 1st Batch MBBS 100 Seats started today at
the Academic Block, NIMSR Campus and will continue till 28th
of this month.
