NFR to run more Holi special train between Naharlagun and Charlapalli

GUWAHATI, March 15: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to run an additional Holi special train between Naharlagun and Charlapalli to manage the surge in passenger demand during the festive season, said an official statement.

These trains will operate for three trips each, ensuring enhanced connectivity in the region and improved travel options for commuters. 

This train will run between March 15 till April 1, 2025. 

Informing about the schedule, the statement said, special train no 07046 (Charlapalli– Naharlagun) will depart from Charlapalli at 0840 hours on of March 15, 22 and 29, 2025 on every Saturday to reach Naharlagun at 1600 on Monday.

Similarly, special train no 07047 (Naharlagun – Charlapalli) will depart from Naharlagun at 1300 hours on March 18 and 25 and April 1, 2025 on every Tuesday to reach Charlapalli at 2130 hours on Thursday.

These trains will run via Harmuti Jn, Rangiya Jn, New Bongaigaon, New Coochbehar, New Jalpaiguri, Malda Town, Kharagpur Jn, Cuttack, Vizianagaram Jn, Vijayawada Jn, Nalgonda etc. railway stations.

The Holi special train will consist of 18 coaches, the statement said.

There will be AC 2 -Tier, AC 3-Tier and sleeper class coaches for ensuring passenger comfort and convenience.

The stoppage details and timings of these special trains are available on the IRCTC website and are also being published in newspapers and on NF Railway’s social media platforms.
