Reacting to the barbaric attack, Saha said that terrorists are attempting to derail the peace and socio-economic progress ushered in by the Centre in Jammu and Kashmir, especially in the aftermath of the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A.

“The atmosphere of peace and development brought about by PM Modi and HM Amit Shah has made Jammu and Kashmir a prime tourist destination once again. With increasing footfall of tourists, the region is transforming into a true paradise on earth. This progress, however, has become intolerable for the enemies of peace,” Saha remarked.

As Tripura’s Home Minister, Saha expressed strong condemnation of the attack and extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased.

“Such cowardly attacks are aimed at disturbing the happiness and development of the people. I vehemently protest against this barbaric act where innocent tourists were targeted and killed in cold blood,” he said.
